Abstract

The author reflects on his indoor gardening experience. He had been planting seeds inside his home for years, just to see how they will grow in an alien place. It started many years ago with a few seeds from a Texas grapefruit. He threw them in a pot with a bit of soil and waited. What they did was sprout and grow up to the ceiling. After his first citrus success, he felt encouraged to try others. He asserts that raising outdoor plants indoors is an inexpensive form of entertainment that can hold ones interest for weeks, months or years.
