Abstract: The article discusses the result of a study concerning epitaxial growth of heterogenous metal nanocrystals from gold nano-octahedra to palladium and silver nanocubes. The study found that three binary metallic core-shell nanocrystals have been successfully synthesized in high yield by a two-step seed-mediated method in a simple aqueous system.
