Abstract

The article reports that the broadcast and cable television networks plan few if any changes in their "upfront" advertising sales presentations scheduled for May, 2008. During the 2007-2008 strike by the Writers Guild of America, there had been speculation within the broadcasting industry that the networks would abandon the "upfronts" as well as the entire concept of the prime time television "season" running from fall to spring.
