Abstract
- Out of the approximately 55,000 objects at the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, 45,000 of them are prints and works on paper. The same is true of many other regional art museums, which tend to specialize in collecting works in so-called minor art media. But prints have their charm, as a lovely if slightly overstuffed exhibition here reveals. ''From Here to the Horizon: American Landscape Prints From Whistler to Celmins'' pulls from the museum's collection a century's worth of sweeping panoramic vistas. There are 72 works, selected by Marilyn Symmes, the museum's curator of works on paper. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
