Abstract: The article reports on the impact of technology on real estate agencies in Australia. According to the author, mobile broadband and Web-delivered back office systems make it possible for real estate agents to call coffee shops and clients' houses to upload property listings, market Web sites, change databases and finalize contracts. The threat posed by the Internet and mobile technology on traditional agencies is discussed.
