Get your muck tested.

This article reports that the 2008 Grassland and Muck event presents an opportunity for British farmers to bring samples of manure and slurry for free testing. The samples will be analysed by a research consortium that includes ADAS and uses a technique called near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS). ADAS principal research scientist Ken Smith says several manure samples need to be taken from different parts of the heap and mixed together in a clean bucket.
