World Cultural Heritage Site: Shuanglin Temple.

The article features the Shuanglin Temple in the village of Qiaotou in Shanxi, China. Called the Zhongdu Temple in ancient times, this temple is frequented by Buddhist pilgrims. It has a collection of artifacts that come from the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, including Guanyin statues and life-size statues of guardian warriors. It was declared a World Cultural Heritage site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 1997.
