Abstract

The article discusses a research that investigates the enhanced temporal resolution, a theory which connotes a greater ability to discriminate between rapidly occurring events. In the study, participants are asked to free-fall 100 feet at the Nothin' But Net thrill ride in Dallas, Texas. While in the mid-air, the participants' task is to determine a digit on a wrist-watch style device. Results reveal that the fear-associated slowing of time occurs after the event.
