Abstract

This article presents information about the conviction of John Fox for the hate crime murder of Michael J. Sandy, a gay man. The victim was chosen as a robbery target and was chased through the streets of Brooklyn, New York where he died in the traffic on the Belt Parkway when he was struck by a vehicle. Sandy was lured to a secluded spot through a Web site for gay men. When Sandy tried to escape, he was chased by Fox and another onto the highway.
