Abstract
- The article discusses a study which clarifies whether heat preconditioning prior to eccentric exercise would result in less eccentric exercise-induced muscle damage and muscle soreness. The heat preconditioning with a microwave hyperthermia unit was applied on the nine untrained male volunteers in a day. The study showed that the heat preconditioning may protect human skeletal muscle from eccentric exercise-induced muscle damage after a single bout of eccentric exercise.
