Abstract: The article reports on the decision of Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale in New York to no longer sponsor the senior prom. When the leaders of the school dumped the ball, their letter to the parents addressed more than the drugs, booze and sex associated with prom light. The letter also focused on a culture of affluence and decadence rife in the U.S. INSET: TEACHER COWRITES BOOK TO SHOW 'HOW FUN IT IS TO BE CATHOLIC'.
