CARACTERIZACIÓN DE ARENAS PROVENIENTES DE PLAYAS DE CÓRDOBA Y SUCRE.

This work shows the characterization for polarized Light microscopic of a sets of samples from Coveñas, Moñitos, Los Cordobas, San Bernardo del viento and San Antero beaches. The results indicate that the first three beaches are rich in quartz and fedelpast, while the San Bernardo's beach is composed basically for minerals concerning to the group of the Pyroxene, in addition to, the San Antero's beaches that are rich in minerals of the group of the Calcite, furthermore, in it's found a high content of organic impurities. The morphologic, morphometric and morphoscopi of the samples also were studied. The determinations of the minerals constitute the different beaches that can be important for future technological and researching applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
