Abstract

The article reports on the decline in newsprint demand due to paper companies' increase in newsprint prices according to data from the Newspaper Association of America. It states that the restraining of supplies of paper companies is the cause of the continuing increase in newsprint prices. Newspapers such as "The Wall Street Journal" and "Los Angeles Times" reportedly downsized their papers. Analysts predicted the improvement of prices by 2009.
