Fast Growing Firms and the Evolution of the Russian Economy.

The article focuses on the fast growing firms and examines its contribution firms to national economic growth as well the evolution of the Russian economy. It presents a research about the competition in Russia carried out at the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. It examined several industries that was regarded as models from the view of the intensity of the competition process and icon firms in various lines of business. Also provided are the analysis regarding the activities of more than 50 most successful firms from other economic sectors. A chart is given depicting the biological analogies of evolutionary processes in the Russian economy.
