- Investigates the source and location of the orientation advantage effect based on the findings made by J. Beck in 1972 on the relationship between similarity grouping and peripheral discriminability. Nonsensitivity of the effect to location uncertainty; Necessity of relative judgment for the manifestation of the effect; Conditions generating the effect.
