Abstract

Reports on the intramolecular distribution of the natural abundance of stable isotopes in tracing the geochemical cycle of atmospheric nitrous oxide. The intramolecular distribution that was determined by measuring molecular and fragment ions of nitrous oxide on a modified mass spectrometer; Alpha-site position preference of the stable isotopes that varied throughout the troposphere and stratosphere; Results of constructing an atmospheric mass balance of nitrous oxide, while incorporating isotopomer abundance.
