Abstract

The article discusses the significance of glancing angle deposition (GLAD), a toolbox of processing techniques for nanostructure fabrication. GLAD is a combination of traditional thin-film vacuum deposition and controlled substrate motion. Accordingly, GLAD technique is used to deposit science materials on surfaces at a highly oblique angle resulting in a flexible and straightforward method of developing nanostructured and porous thin-film materials. The major advantage of GLAD process is its compatibility with many materials including dielectrics, metals and semiconductors.
