Abstract: An essay is presented on the pharmaceutical counterfeiting in Africa. The counterfeit drugs specialized medicines for the most chronic and serious diseases including cancer, AIDS, diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. The author emphasizes that the World Health Organization (WHO) has made a Rapid Alert System to control the distribution of the fake medicines in the international trade networks.
