Abstract: The article offers information on the robot car race conducted by the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the DARPA Urban Challenge held in Southern California in November 2007. It states that the 2007 race was held in the city, unlike previous races that took place in deserts and mentions that 11 driverless vehicle participated in the race. Winner of the race was the company Chevy Tahoe's vehicle Boss that used global positioning system, radar and laser sensors.
