Abstract: The article offers information on TX Active, a cement developed by the company Italcementi that is effective in controlling atmospheric smog. It reports that the cement consists of titanium dioxide which neutralizes the pollutants present in the environment, through the process of oxidation. It presents views of Enrico Borgarello, head of Italcementi's research and development department on TX Active. Also mentioned is the research, investigating pollution controlling properties of the cement.
