Abstract
- Presents the history of thoughts surrounding the idea of integrating ecology and economics, and argues for the integrative approach to the two fields. Linear economies which focus on the maximization of production; Circular economies which focus on the production of basic products by which to sustain human life; Modern approach which is known as the ecological economics approach to sustainability, and focuses on the potential perpetuity of both economic and ecological cycles.
