Abstract
- The article presents an evaluation of the campaign of U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama and its performance in the Democratic party primaries and caucuses of February 5, 2008. Obama attracted a wave of support amid public enthusiasm in the week before the elections, but exit polls showed that voters who made their choice on the day of voting preferred rival Hillary Rodham Clinton. It is unclear if this represents Obama's top level of support, or if it will continue to grow.
