Abstract

The article reports on the issue concerning the computer worm that affected the customers of a company on December 21, 2007 in the U.S. It states that a message appears on their user's Trend Micro OfficeScan program which alerts them concerning the existence of the virus. It shows that the company's security managers has sent electronic mails and telephone notifications to companies and their clients informing them on the virus outbreak. The company has used its incidence-response protocol to determine the worm and was named winllogo.exe. The company's IT managers stress that their utilization of Wireshark, a network protocol analyzer enable them to identify the virus. Also, the program developer Trend Micro Inc. helps the company address the problem.
