Abstract
- The article focuses on limited recourse which U.S. participants in clinical trials of drugs have if they become ill or are injured as a result of the trials. A discussion is presented of a failure of U.S. federal law to require researchers to compensate trial participants that are harmed, and of consent forms which are used at the trials which only require researchers to indicate if compensation will be available for injuries incurred as a result of the trials.
