Abstract

The article ponders why only a few politicians in the U.S. are talking about carbon taxes to reduce the volume of greenhouse gas emission and solve the problem of global warming. It explains that carbon taxes means levy will be imposed on fossil fuels based on how much carbon dioxide they contain. It points that from the economic point of view carbon taxes is better than emission trading and mandatory cutback on the quantity of greenhouse emissions.
