Abstract
- The article examines the success of lumbar decompressions performed on an outpatient basis on patients 65 years of age or older. The results showed that a total of 97 of 134 patients wanted to repeat the outpatient procedure, while 94 of 136 patients said that their surgery's outcome made their condition good or better. The authors suggest that surgical decompression of the lumbar spine can be performed on an outpatient basis, both safely and successfully.
