Abstract
- The article focuses on the use of Scorched 3D, a computer artillery video game wherein players fight by lobbing different shells at each other, to help physics students understand projectile motion. It states that the game demonstrates the projectile motion of the shell in a beautifully rendered three-dimensional environment that the user can interactively rotate or magnify. It cites that the game is an open-source software project from SourceForge and it works with such computer platforms as Windows, Linux and Solaris.
