Abstract
- This article features Tahmima Anam, author of "A Golden Age." Stories of conflict such as Bangladesh's 1971 war of independence had led her to pursue a doctorate in social anthropology at Harvard University. She faced the uncertain task of transitioning from social scientist to novelist. An excerpt from her debut novel is presented. INSET: A Golden Age.
