Abstract: The article reports on a car bombing in Sadr City, Iraq, on September 8, 2007, in which 15 people were killed. The area is one of Shiite strongholds in the country. The vehicle bombing was one of three attacks against the supporters of Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr. In the first week of September 2007, the cleric had ordered his militia to halt all attacks. The vehicle bombing was first after the call.
