Regions reloaded.

The article focuses on the retooling of the networking system of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) to strengthen the reach to its membership in the U.S. and Canada. According to the author, to unify chapters located around the globe under 12 designated regions, teams of IIE officials and volunteers have begun working in 2006. He added that in response to the struggle of finding leadership, maintaining activities and finding new ways to engage new younger members, regional leadership teams are being developed headed by elected region vice presidents. Moreover, guidelines and initiatives have also been developed by each regional team that will suit their region with respect to the advantage of being an IIE member.
