Abstract

The article offers usage tips for Mac OS X, the line of graphical operating systems developed, marketed and sold by Apple Inc. The latest of Mac OS X is currently pre-loaded on all Macintosh Computers. Mac users can easily save desktop pictures with Safari 3 web browser. They need to control- or right-click on an image and choose Use Image As Desktop Picture from the contextual menu. Safari will download and save the image and then it will set the desktop to use the newly saved image. To prevent scaling, users must use images that are at least as large as their monitor's resolution, which they can see in the Displays preference pane. For naming a file in Mac OS X, one should not use a period at the beginning of a file or folder name. INSETS: File Naming Dos and Don'ts;Trackpad Tapping at Login.
