Abstract

The article offers information on the some changes made by Apple Inc. to its Mac OS X Leopard operating system. One of OS X's best features is that it can run many programs simultaneously. But a consequence of this capability is that one can end up with lots of application windows cluttering one's screen. In Leopard, Apple has addressed this issue with Spaces, which convinces one's computer that it has more than one desktop, or workspace, each of which can contain its own programs and windows. Users can then navigate between these virtual workspaces to access their discrete items. They can switch between workspaces in a number of ways.
