Abstract

The article discusses the study which aims to compare contralateral lung area and total fetal lung volume (FLV) in fetuses with isolated congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). Based on the study, 66 pregnant women were offered postnatal care with or without prenatal therapy or termination of pregnancy. The study shows that contralateral lung area measurement by 2D ultrasound correlates well with the total FLV estimated by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
