Abstract: This section offers news briefs and events in China. According to a blueprint for space development by 2010 framed by the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, China plans to realize spacewalk, spacecraft rendezvous and docking and set up a space laboratory. The Foundation of Social Heroes in Guangzhou also upped the highest sum provided to those who incur disabilities while performing heroic deeds. It also reports on two male pandas from Japan that will become the first overseas-born twin pandas ever to come back to China.
