Abstract

Aim: To study the relation between gait abnormality and radiological findings in patients with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). Method: It was a retrospective study conducted in a tertiary referral centre. Patients with NPH and gait abnormality were included. NPH was diagnosed as per the NPH Guidelines Study Group's criteria. A two minute video recording of the gait was analyzed and a five point scoring was given. Higher scores indicated significant disability. All the patients had a CT scan, MRI scan or both done. Scores were given for imaging parameters including ventricular enlargement, periventricular hyper intensities and cortical atrophy. Patients with NPH but normal gait were excluded. Statistics: Pearson correlation coefficient and partial correlation coefficient was used and a p value. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
