Abstract
- The article reports that Oscar S. Wyatt Jr., an oil trader from Texas, was sentenced to more than a year in prison on charges of conspiracy and approving the payment of $200,000 surcharge to the Iraqi government. This is a violation of the United Nations' oil for food program. He pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy and that he agreed to cause a surcharge to be paid to a bank account controlled by the officials at the Iraq State Oil Marketing Association in December 2001.
