Abstract

The author reflects the medical study for onychomycosis treatment in India. He describes onychomycosis as one of the intergumental fungal infects and nail disease in the country. Dermatophytes is demonstrated as the common cause in onychomycosis disease. He cites some alternative therapies of onychomycosis disease such as palliative care, mechanical/chemical debridement and other antifungal agents. He also illustrates some of the antifungal drug agents including terbinafine and itraconazole.
