Abstract

The article examines whether advertisers are going to focuses their efforts on social media web sites, such as Myspace.com, Youtube.com and Facebook.com, instead of creating micro-websites. The article explains that advertisers previously would create their own web sites for a product, then spend media dollars promoting that web site. Advertisers have now been able to cut costs by joining an already establish social media web site, and creating their own home page on that site.
