Abstract

The article reports on nanostructured initiator mass spectrometry (NIMS), a new ionization and desorption mass spectrometry (MS) method for use in MS imaging and small-molecule metabolomic analysis that was developed at Scripps Research Institute in the United States. The key features and specifications of NIMS are also cited.
