Abstract
- Focuses on the research of Donald E. Ingber, assistant professor of pathology at Harvard Medical School. His theory that the internal structure of cells, the cytoskeleton, resembles that of a geodesic dome; Similarity of a cell's fibers to the rods of a dome in terms of how they push and pull off each other; Possibility that scientists will be able to control cell growth and protein production by pushing or prodding the cells; Comments from colleagues.
