Abstract

The article discusses the use of rangefinders and scopes in hunting. According to the author, although he owns three laser rangefinders, he seldom uses them as he hardly ever takes shots at long distances. It is suggested that rather than buying a bulky scope for rifles, hunters can invest in a rangefinder and a scope with a range-compensating reticle. It is stated that one of the most promising of these is Nikon Inc.'s New Monarch, with a reticle called the Bullet Drop Compensation (BDC).
