Abstract

The article discusses issues related to the planned travel exhibition featuring the famous hominid fossils known as "Lucy" and "Nariokotome Boy." According to Kenyan paleoanthropologist Richard Leakey, whose team discovered the Nariokotome Boy, opposed the decision of the government to allow The Field Museum in Chicago, Illinois to exhibit the fossils. On the other hand, Robert D. Martin, curator of biological anthropology at The Field Museum, assured that they have great experience in caring for fragile fossils and promised that they will strive to ensure that profits will benefit Kenyan science.
