The title compound, C12H10N4OS2, was synthesized via condensation of 3-phenyl-5-chloromethyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole with 5-mercapto-2-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole. The benzene and oxadiazole rings are roughly coplanar, making a twist angle of only 4.6 (3)°, whereas the thiadiazole ring makes a dihedral angle of 87.9 (3)° with the oxadiazole ring.
