Abstract
- The article presents a suggested lesson for teaching geography to students ages 11 to 14 in Great Britain. The author describes an activity she uses to complete lessons on earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanoes. She has students work in teams to build volcanoes based on her guidelines. She explains the activity's requirements and students' reactions when they are allowed to make their volcano erupt. She provides resource suggestions for teaching geography. INSET: Resources.
