Graph Expo 2007: "Green Printing" Is the New JDF.

The article examines the main themes of the premier U.S. print event, "Graph Expo 2007." The event provided U.S. publishing professionals with an important overview of their key delivery vehicle - printing. Whether in the cross-media, online-only publishing or for publishers who depend on offset or digital print, the show was significant for the print publishing community. Although, Job Definition Format (JDF)-enabled workflow systems were still the most sought-after technologies for the industry, green printing was also evident at the show. "Environmental sustainability," "climate change," and "green print" were the most frequently repeated phrases in major vendor booths and in several educational venues.
