Abstract

Micro wind power systems are one of the most appropriate and comparatively economical renewable energy sources to meet the off-grid energy needs of Sri Lanka. To penetrate the target markets and intended beneficiaries of Sri Lanka, it requires sound demonstrations to prove its technical, financial and or economic viability. This paper, presents a case study of a successful wind powered rural electrification project and the establishment of a revolving fund with public/private participation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
