Abstract
- The article presents the first of a three part series on job satisfaction pertaining to librarians. According to a "Library Journal" job satisfaction survey, 85.6% of the 3,095 library staffers who responded agreed they would choose a career in librarianship again if they had to start over. Respondents gave "love of books" as the most common reason for choosing their careers. Information is provided for the salary and challenges of librarianship.
