Abstract

The article focuses on how expecting parents who are also journalists can handle the demands of their jobs and prepare for the arrival of a baby. The first suggestion is that employers and supervisors should be made aware of the situation and adjust schedules in order to accommodate physical and job needs. It is also recommended that expected mothers prepare for maternity leave by doing as much work beforehand as possible in order to reduce the burden on co-workers. Working mothers may also wish to work from home or work part-time in order to meet the needs of family while maintaining employment.
