Abstract: Authors propose to consider theoretical knowledge about role and functioning of playing in infant and childhood. Psychoanalytical specialized literature review gives more knowledge and reflections about playing. The main purpose is centred on the role of body experiences in playing in front of adult''s look (psychotherapist or parents). Finally, a research line is given, the most interesting question seems to be the study of child''s playing development during child''s thinking abilities development. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
