Abstract
- This article presents an experimental investigation on the diversity performance of a reconfigurable antenna integrating a SPDT for polarization switching. The antenna is characterized in terms of its envelope correlation factor, mean effective gain, and diversity gain (DG) in a multipath indoor environment. The influence of the antenna placement and orientation is emphasized. Low correlation factors and large DGs are observed making this device highly performing for indoor wireless communication systems. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
